Growing up in a Mormon culture it didn't really dawn on me that all kinds of Christians believe in the law of tithing. Billy and I would from time to time talk religion, philosophy and how to keep our wives happy with us. I was touched by his spiritual soft side and profound wisdom of how he raised his kids I would listen as he would tell me about teaching sunday school and think wow wouldn't it be fun to sit in his class. Billy gave a large credit to his success for paying 10% plus of all that he made to the Lord in tithing. I still bug Mary from time to time as we have our ups and downs that maybe we should be paying more tithing.
